If you happen to be from China, you already know that green tea has amazing health benefits. The Chinese have known about the tea for a very long time. In fact, Chinese herbalists have used this type of tea in the treatment of many conditions, including stomach pains, sleeplessness, depression and headaches. The scientific studies done today have supported traditional beliefs of Asian medicine. These studies have found secure evidence that drinking green tea has several healthful benefits when drunk routinely. One particular study revealed a sixty percent decrease in cancer of the esophagus in those Chinese people who drank green tea regularly. The study came to the conclusion that there was something in green tea that blocked the growth of cancerous cells.
