Why eliminating the worst foods in your diet is a bad idea

December 5, 2007 – 4:38 pm

Food cravings can be hard beast to tame. Most of the time the foods you crave are the absolute worst things you can eat. What’s even worse is that after you give in to the cravings and eat the food you feel bad for having done so. This leads to depression and self hate for not being able to conquer these cravings.

I know how hard it can be to give up the foods you crave, and I failed at going cold turkey on junk food dozens of times. That’s when I decided to replace the foods I craved instead to eliminating them.

You already know what’s good for you and what’s not so whenever you start to crave bad food immediately grab something that’s good for you. Don’t dwell on it, just do it. After a while it will become a habit and your cravings for junk food will be replaced for cravings for healthy food.

  3. I agree.

I make my snacks and lunch the night before. That way, when I am hungry, I just know exactly what to eat.

I don’t have to think “what do I have a ‘taste for’”.

During that time, most people find that they choose their craving rather than what will really nourish their body.
